A 350m2 contemporary new construction set on a 2.600m2 elevated land with panoramic views on Geneva Lake and the French Alps The challenge was without a doubt the 4m high living space surrounded by impressive floor to ceiling bay windows, giving a sense of emptiness and coldness. In order to introduce some warmth and turn it into a comfortable and inviting family home, the space has been divided between split levels with a kitchen overlooking the seating area and a library on the opposite wall facing the large contemporary fireplace. This set of mezzanine’s filled in the space and emphasised the view with a perspective of diving into the lake. The 1.20x1.20m dark grey tiles matching the thin steel profiles of the bay windows with their stackable blinds and the large walnut library covering the walls of one of the mezzanine enhanced the elegant interior design, which is visible from the „suspended „ kitchen designed by Veneta Cucine At night, the sparkle of the star ceiling helps to revive the interior with the vivid picture of the mountains on the lake reflecting on the large windows.
